The 108th IEC/TC61 Global Conference in Hangzhou organized by TIANXI Kitchen Appliances

　　From June 3 to 7, 2024, the 108th IEC/TC61 (IEC Technical Committee on Safety of Electrical Appliances for Domestic and Similar Purposes) Global Conference, hosted by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and co-organized by China Household Electric Appliances Research Institute (CHERI), Zhejiang Tianxi Kitchen Appliances Company Limited (TKA), Zhejiang Institute of Standardization (ZIS) and other units, was held in Hangzhou.

　　Mr. Liu Ting, President of China Household Electric Appliances Research Institute, Mr. Qu Zongfeng, Vice President of the Institute, and Irma Rustemi, President of IEC/TC61 (UK), Mr. Ma Dejun, Vice President of IEC/TC61 (China), Mr. Randi Myers, Secretary of IEC/TC61 (US), and other domestic and international leaders and more than 200 experts from all over the world participated in the conference. Yuan Jun, Deputy General Manager of Tianxi Kitchen Appliances, Dr. Tang Tingbin, Vice President of the Research Institute, and Cai Dequan, Vice President of the Research Institute, attended the conference as three registered experts.

　　The main topics of this meeting were the reorganization of the structure of IEC/TC61 and the 51 proposals involved in the 34 standards in the IEC 60335 series. During the meeting, Dr. Tang Tingbin from TIANXI Kitchen Electric made a special speech on the response received from the first proposal of air fryer and the next work plan. Dr. Tang made a detailed and comprehensive analysis and explanation from 5 aspects, including market demand, product description, purpose and reason, proposal and opinion, conclusion and plan. The speech was highly recognized by the leading experts. They fully affirmed Tianxi's market research, product technology and experimental data in the field of air fryer. The meeting decided to set up an international expert working group to promote the 2nd DC of the international standard of air fryer according to the work plan proposed by Tianxi Kitchen.

　　The international standards discussed in this conference are wide-ranging and of high importance, which will play a key role in standardizing the order of the global market and guiding and promoting the development of the corresponding products in the global market. Based on the participation in hosting this global conference, Tianxi Kitchen will pay more attention to the standardization construction work, enhance the standard level by innovation, promote the transformation of innovation achievements by standard, actively participate in the formulation and revision of international standards, and contribute more Tianxi wisdom to the international standardization work.
